A few things worth knowing about how Scientia is run day to day.

Who you're learning from

Scientia is run by a qualified tutor holding a BSc in Biochemistry & Microbiology and a PGCE, teaching CAPS-aligned Natural Sciences, Life Sciences, and Physical Sciences (Chemistry).

Payment safety

All card payments are processed by PayFast, a registered South African payment gateway — Scientia's own servers never handle or store your card number. Every payment notification is cryptographically verified and independently confirmed with PayFast's servers before any course access is unlocked, so access can't be faked or spoofed.

Account safety

• Passwords are stored as salted hashes, never in plain text.
• An account can be deactivated immediately if there's a safety concern, cutting off access right away.
• Parents/guardians can be reached directly by the tutor when contact details are provided.

Reporting a concern

If something feels off — inappropriate contact, a billing issue, anything — use the Support page. It goes straight to the tutor, not a ticket queue.
